Paid to be a party animal – meet Faliraki’s workers

It’s the best job you never had.  You party.  You laze in the sun and swim in clear blue water.  You get hammered.  You hang with sexy, good looking people – many of them only half dressed – and best of all, you get paid to do it.

Welcome to the world of Club Reps: The Workers which follows young Brits who have abandoned the grey skies and ‘nine-to-five’ of life here at home for a dream existence in Faliraki, party capital of the Greek Islands.

This high-energy series follows the hilarious and sometimes painful adventures of a gang whose only ambition is to earn enough money to fuel a non-stop party for the entire holiday season – or the entire year.

People like Des, the 23-year-old charmer from the water-ski school.  He’s tanned, handsome, blonde, speaks fluent Japanese and is utterly dedicated to avoiding the daily grind of an ordinary career.  Instead, he’s declared the summer a ‘Commitment Free Zone’ (again…!) to concentrate on chasing bikini-clad girls.

Then there’s Stacey, a chirpy Essex girl who arrives on Rhodes as a holidaymaker, then refuses to go home.  Can she hold out – despite the pressures of an unpaid mortgage and thousands of pounds in credit card debts?

And Sharmayne, the party girl and would-be professional dancer from Walsall, looking to kick-start a new career by finding a job in the club cages and dance podiums up and down Faliraki’s infamous Bar Street.

And finally Andy, a former army PT instructor who has swapped combat fatigues for a new uniform of gold body paint, water wings and purple wig as the wisecracking, anarchic MC at The Yacht Club.  His task?  To transform the fortunes of this fledgling pool bar by partying their guests to the limit – and beyond – with a string of delights including the outrageous Tequila Feeler.

Dancers, drop-outs, drinkers, waitresses, professional party animals, plus the only gay bartender in this, the straightest of holiday towns - these are The Workers: every one of them looking to live a fantasy life of sun, fun, hangovers and paycheques.  But how many of them can last the whole summer?

Club Reps: The Workers - Uncut, a complementary series on ITV2, goes further, featuring the full-on adventures – and the highs and lows of everyday life as a worker.  Club Reps: The Workers  and Club Reps: The Workers – Uncut are SMG TV productions for ITV1 and ITV2.
